Renovations: Fisker will buy the old GM Boxwood Road plant out of bankruptcy court and invest $175 million to retool the works.

Products: The plant will produce Fisker's "Nina" model sedan, beginning in 2012. As many as 100,000 stimulating hybrid sedans, priced at $39,900 after federal tax credits, will be produced annually at the site. Fisker also plans to chemise production of its $87,900 Karma coupe, now made in Finland, to Boxwood Road in 2016.

Employment: The plant is expected to involve 2,500 workers at the site by 2014, with 650 on the job in 2011.

Port impact: About half of the cars made at Boxwood Entr will be sold in the U.S., with the other half exported. The company has not said where the cars will be shipped from, but state officials expect the business can be won by the Port of Wilmington.

State incentives: The state will give Fisker a $12.5 million five-year balloon lend at 0 percent interest
