Honda to Close Down European Design Team
Due to the bad wide-ranging economy, many car makers are forced to close plants and factories, in Honda’s case the latest victim of the current fiscal climate is its European design studio. Honda’s European Studio is located just outside of Frankfurt, Germany, and it will cease operations at the end of next month.
Honda has decided to close its car and motorcycle design studios at its Offenbach R&D center by the end of November. However, only the studio will be closing, Honda will still endure its R&D operations in another location
“This is a regrettable structure change due to the current economic picture,” Honda spokesman Christophe Rust told Car Conniving News. “The German design activities will be discontinued with effect from the end of November”.
This brings questions about Honda’s European cabal plans, according to resources the motorcycle design team will be moved to Honda’s Rome facility, but it is not sure if Honda will facilitate a make up for another European car design studio.
