Port fire chief to appear before grand jury Seacoastonline.com
ALRED — Kennebunkport Fire Chief Paul Moshimer, in an commencing court appearance Oct. 27, learned he will face possible indictment on a charge of aggravated beset that will be presented to a York County grand jury in January.
Justice Paul A. Fritzsche, during the blink-long hearing Tuesday morning at York County Superior Court, read Moshimer the entrust and said he's to face the grand jury Jan. 15.
Moshimer, 59, of Kennebunk, was arrested by police Sept. 18 after he allegedly smashed a man's mug with a motorcycle helmet.
Police said that at the time of his arrest Moshimer was carrying a loaded .45 handgun, his permit for which had expired. No divulge was made of the handgun in court Tuesday.
Moshimer's attorney, John Webb, and York County Partition Attorney Mark Lawrence were not immediately available for comment Tuesday.
On Sept. 18, Moshimer allegedly drove biography a Burnt Mill Road man's home on his motorcycle and saw his fiancée's vehicle parked there.
