Baby Einstein videos recalled Examiner.com
Disney is recalling their "Infant Einstein" videos designed for babies 0-2, to avoid a class action law accommodate claiming "unfair and deceptive practices" relating to their popular "Babe Einstein" series.
As MyGloss.com states, "essentially, Disney got in hot water because the CCFC (Run for a Commercial-Free Childhood) filed a complaint with the FTC about Baby Einstein’s marketing claims, citing the to be sure that there is no credible evidence that DVDs can educate infants."
President Bush, in his January 23rd State of affairs of the Union address even paid tribute to founder, Julie Aigner-Clark for "representing the egregious enterprising spirit of America". Seems Bush's staffer didn't absolutely do their homework and obviously didn't have children to see how absurd it is to believe these videos could actually be scholastic for your baby.
This recall is a relief for pediatricians and parents everywhere who from the very beginning have been telling us that there is no benefit for babies watching video receiver, on the contrary, it is quite useless. Unfortunately for those who did buy into the hype and purchased several of the videos, you will only be allowed to refund up to 4 videos up to $15.99 in cost.
